Good morning, welcome to a world of hypocrisy,
Today we’re here for a crash course on misogyny!
Topic- Miss, Ms. or Mrs?
Use “Miss” when addressing young girls and women under 30 that are unmarried.
Use “Ms.” when you are not sure of a woman’s marital status, if the woman is unmarried and over 30 or if she prefers being addressed with a marital-status neutral title.
Use “Mrs.” when addressing a married woman.
Yes, what for men, you ask?
Simple! Use “Mr.”
This is the term that is used to address men, whether they are married or unmarried, widowed, young or old,
And if I may go ahead and make a claim so bold,
No matter how much you think you’re ‘modern’, the disgusting ignorance for gender equality still holds.
The need to define a woman still persists,
Because what good is she if in boxes, she refuses to fit?
If labels are what she resists,
Prejudices she’s trying to transit.
It is still so important for us to know if a woman is married or not,
If she’s lost her husband or never had one,
How old she is,
Why is it that we insist on having a masculine figure describe a woman's identity?
Without a “him” do we have no credibility?
Is our name not enough?
Are we not enough yet?
Well too bad, it’s all you get.
Let me ask you, have you ever tried to stamp a man like this?
After all, a ‘mr,’ is all it takes,
For a deal to make or break,
To wave off all mistakes,
Go all out just for their sakes,
Can you hear this girl blabbering?
Because I’m trying to shake you awake.
